Burkhardt joins Modera Wealth Management
By Canton CitizenLaurie Kane Burkhardt of Canton recently joined Modera Wealth Management, LLC as a financial advisor. In her new role, she works directly with clients to identify their financial objectives, develop and implement planning strategies, and monitor their progress in achieving their investment and financial goals.
Burkhardt attended Harvard University as an undergraduate and received her MBA from Boston University. She then went on to earn the Certified Financial Planner certification after a rigorous process that involved coursework, professional experience requirements, and the completion of a two-day national exam.
Before joining Modera, Burkhardt worked for LPL Financial as a financial planning consultant, providing guidance to financial advisors in the design, illustration and implementation of financial planning recommendations. She also was instrumental in establishing financial planning strategic priorities and provided comprehensive financial planning services for clients at two financial services firms.
She managed the financial planning services offering for high net worth and small business clients of a Boston-based financial services firm with more than 200 advisors, and subsequently launched a new financial planning process for investment clients of a New England regional bank with more than $1.5 billion in assets under management. Prior to pursuing a career shift into financial planning, Burkhardt spent 20-plus years in various management positions in financial management and strategic planning at MetLife.
“I have followed Modera’s positive public image for years, and I have admired the professionalism, integrity and experience that separates this firm from many of its competitors,” said Burkhardt. “I am thrilled to be joining a nationally known, fee-only organization and to have the opportunity to contribute to the success of our clients’ financial lives as they navigate the challenges of the current economic climate.”
