Hansen principal honored as a ‘Hometown Hero’
By Canton CitizenHansen Elementary School Principal Peter Boucher has been named one of Blue Hills Bank’s 2014 Hometown Heroes.
Boucher was one of 11 individuals and one organization selected by an online voting process to be featured in the bank’s 2014 calendar. Along with this honor, each Hometown Hero will receive $1,000 from the bank for their organization or favorite charity.
“We are lucky to be in a community where service and volunteerism isn’t a rarity, it’s the norm,” said William M. Parent, president and CEO of Blue Hills Bank. “These people and organizations make this community a great place to live and work and we are proud to honor them.”
Other Hometown Hero recipients included Dan Cummings, founder of Canton-based Journey Forward, a nonprofit rehabilitation facility for people with spinal cord injuries, and Frank Faria, a Stoughton resident and founder of Kick It 4 Jake, a memorial soccer tournament in honor of 2009 SHS graduate Jake Hoffman.
The 2014 Hometown Hero calendars are free and will be available in all Blue Hills Bank branches in December. For more information about each of the “heroes,” visit Blue Hills Bank on Facebook.
