CHS boys’ tennis team falls to NA

By

The Canton High School boys’ tennis team dropped to 2-3 following a 4-1 defeat at the hands of North Attleboro High School this past Thursday at CHS. The undermanned Bulldogs were hindered by the postponement of the match from Tuesday to Thursday, which caused some key players to miss court time due to April vacation plans.

“The North Attleboro match didn’t go as well as it could have, due to having some kids missing from the lineup,” said head coach Leo Nelson.

Canton’s lone victory came from freshman Sam Riemer. “Sam came through with a huge win against a strong opponent,” said Nelson. “He continues to be one of my go-to guys that will fill in where needed. He never lets me down with his effort and ability.”

The Bulldogs were looking to bounce back this week against King Philip and Oliver Ames.
