Thomas G. Manning, Jr. of Brockton, formerly of Canton, passed away November 11 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Brockton, he was raised in Canton, graduated from Canton High School, and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam Era. Tom worked for the city of Quincy for many years as a custodian at the Lincoln Hancock School before retiring. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, gardening, and most especially spending time with his grandchildren. He has lived in Brockton for the last 18 years and was a member of the American Legion Post #24 in Canton.

Beloved husband of Barbara A. (Kelly). Father of Kellie Gilmore and her husband, Jesse, of MD, Darcy Sullivan of Brockton, Thomas G. Manning, III and his wife, Jessica, of Dedham, and Scott Manning and his wife, Jessica, of Stoughton. Brother of Robert Manning of Middleboro, Maureen Moran of Mansfield, Donna Manning of Canton, Patricia Ziecher of Norton, Charles Manning of Randolph, Elizabeth Kourafas of Randolph, Richard Manning of Berkley, and the late Dennis and Kevin Manning. Grandfather of Jesse, Riley, Shawn, Erin, and Colin Gilmore and Cailyn Sullivan. He is also survived by his special niece Elizabeth Natale and her daughter, Bella, of Canton and many other nieces and nephews.
