Residents of all ages fanned out across the community to beautify Canton’s streets and public spaces as part of the third annual Great Canton Cleanup. Held on Saturday, April 6, the event was organized by the Canton Walk, Bike & Hike Committee, Canton Parks & Recreation, and the Canton Alliance Against Substance Abuse with support from sponsors including Minuteman Press, Orchard Cove, Bank of Canton, and Coldwell Banker/Jeff Sullivan Realty. Cleanup sites included Canton Center, Luce School/Pequitside, Galvin/Hansen schools, JFK School, Paul Revere Heritage Site/Canton Junction, Messinger Park/Bailey Street Conservation Area, Blue Hills Regional, Green Lodge Street, and Route 138. The event concluded with a cookout for all volunteers at the Canton High School football field.
