Brooks, Natalie J.
By Canton CitizenNatalie J. (White) Brooks, 87, of Needham, formerly of Canton, passed away at Wingate in Needham on April 12 surrounded by her loving family.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years, Thomas J. Brooks, Sr. Born in East Boston, she attended Boston Public Schools. Natalie worked for New England Telephone for many years prior to her marriage. Tom and Natalie Brooks lived in Hyde Park for eight years before moving to Canton where they raised their four children.
Natalie was an active member of St. Gerard Majella Parish, attending mass daily and serving as a Eucharistic minister, lector, CCD teacher, and a member of the Tuesday night prayer group. She was a talented artist, donating her artwork to the church where they are still displayed. Natalie enjoyed playing tennis and playing the piano. Above all else she adored spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Loving mother of Thomas J., Jr. and his wife, Laura, and Kathleen M. Jeye and her husband, Gregory, all of Needham, Kenneth J. and his wife, Kimberly, of VA, and Jennifer J. Brooks and her husband, Alexandre Tahan, of NJ. Cherished grandmother of Thomas and Emily Brooks, Roksana and Michael Jeye, and Seraphine Brooks-Tahan. Survived by her dearest sister Lorraine Bagley of MD and loving in-laws John and Mary Brooks of Newburyport. Also survived by her loving nieces, nephews and relations.
A funeral mass was held Tuesday in St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Canton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to “Our Neighbor’s in Need,” c/o St. Gerard Majella Church, 1860 Washington St., Canton, MA 02021.
