Agatha Lucy (diBella) Ford, 98, of Canton, peacefully passed away on November 16 at the John Scott Nursing Home in Braintree.

Agatha was a graduate of Girls Latin School and the Teachers College of the City of Boston, where she was valedictorian of the class of 1940. She also completed courses at Boston University School of Social Work and Harvard/Radcliffe Poetry Seminars. She was a member of St. Gerard’s Prayer Community “Joy in the Morning” Bible Group, a past regent of St. Mark’s Circle, Daughters of Isabella and past president of the Canton Catholic Women’s Club, as well as a member and volunteer at the Mildred Morse Allen Nature Arts Center of the Mass Audubon Society.

Mrs. Ford tutored many of the town’s young students and she was very proud of the leading roles so many of them served in the Canton community. She was a writer and poet …
