Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, she was raised in Canton and graduated from Canton High School. She worked as a secretary for Neponset Woolen Mills in Canton. Charlotte was a lifelong resident of Canton where she was a member of the Community Club of Canton, the Canton Garden Club, Wampatuck Country Club, Ponkapoag Golf Course, and a member of the Congregational Church of Canton’s Benevolent Union.
