Slocum, William P.
By Canton CitizenWilliam P. Slocum Sr., 79, of Canton, died peacefully at home on Saturday, September 2, 2017. William was a proud veteran of the Massachusetts Army National Guard.
Devoted husband of the late Ruth M. Slocum (Dalton). Beloved brother of Ruth E. Chisholm of Scituate, the late John J. Slocum Jr. of Boston, and the late Robert L. Slocum of Whitman. Loving father of William P. Slocum Jr. and his wife, Andrea, of Canton, David A. Slocum and his wife, Martha, of Norwell, Bradford J. Slocum and his wife, Charlene, of Canton, and Linda M. Slocum Vassallo of Norwell. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours in the Roache-Pushard Home for Funerals, 210 Sherman Street, on Thursday, September 7, from 4-8 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton. Interment Canton Corner Cemetery.
