By Canton CitizenJoseph N. Soracco, 88, of Canton and Newport, RI, passed away June 16 at the Hellenic Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Boston, he was raised in Dorchester and graduated from English High School and Boston University with a bachelor’s and master’s in music education. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Joseph taught music at Tabor Academy in Marion and previously was the director of instrumental music in Salem, New York. He started the Medway CYO Band in 1962 and remained the director of the band for over 20 years …
