Canton citizens welcome on GOP Town Committee

By

Dear Editor:

Regarding Alice Brown’s letter in the June 15 Canton Citizen, as the chairman of the Canton Republican Town Committee, I appreciate her urging citizens to join this committee. I can be contacted at the phone number below.

New members will find our meetings focused on the issues facing Canton primarily and on occasion the commonwealth of Massachusetts.

They will also find that Republicans are very efficient, productive, and concerned about the preservation of our society and the need to enforce existing laws at all levels of government. Never in my lifetime have I heard a fellow Republican urge anyone to resist the enforcement of laws of another level of government such as Democrats do with illegal immigrants with the absurd concept of “Sanctuary Cities.” While the party of the donkey may want to open borders, the party of the elephant, representing a huge majority of law-respecting Americans, does not.

For those who prefer chaos, confusion, and disorder in their politics, I suggest you read or reread Alice’s own description of a typical Democrat meeting in last week’s paper. I was particularly amused by her description of breakfast getting cold while everyone was registering. Her party apparently can’t chew gum and walk a straight line simultaneously! Remember, these are the people running this state. Oh my!

A final note, Canton Republicans avoid inflammatory and hateful speech even when we discuss people with whom we disagree. We try to set a good example for the children.

I trust I have made a few distinctions between the two parties. Hope to see many new members at our next meeting!
