Canton resident Stephen Teague was honored as a Boston Celtics Hero Among Us at the TD Garden prior to last week’s big game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Teague is preparing to run his second Boston Marathon and has raised more than $20,000 over the years for the Gillian Reny Stepping Strong Center for Trauma Innovation. Teague himself suffered severe limb damage after an accident in 1993. He was treated at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and underwent a dozen surgeries before making a remarkable recovery. He is now running to “help give back to the great nurses, doctors, and all the great medical staff at BWH.” Click here to donate to the BWH Stepping Strong Marathon Team on behalf of Stephen Teague.
