Mastriano, Frieda

Frieda Karolina (Eschenbacher) Mastriano, 88, of Syracuse, New York, and Norwood, passed away peacefully from this world Friday evening surrounded by her loving family, to complete her journey home.

Northside resident since her arrival from Marktheidenfeld am Main, Germany, in 1948, Frieda was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an avid reader with an extensive book collection. She enjoyed fine art, planting wildflowers in her garden, listening to music, attending German festivals, and the company of family and friends. She was exceptionally gifted in finances and as a teenager kept the books for her loving father’s sculpture business …
