Reilly, Lorraine T.

Lorraine T. (Feeney) Reilly, 88, of Canton, died on October 22, 2016, at her daughter’s home in Weymouth, after suffering a stroke in early September.

She was born in Boston in 1927, the fourth daughter of the late Mary (Curran) Feeney and Joseph Feeney, and grew up in Saint Vincent’s Parish. Lorraine graduated from South Boston High School. She followed in the footsteps of her eldest sister Geraldine and worked for the telephone company as a telephone operator, which gave her the foundation for a lifelong career as a receptionist.

Lorraine met the love of her life, Robert M. Reilly, in 1951, as a church volunteer for African missionaries. They were married in 1953 and lovingly raised a family of five girls and one boy. Formerly of Milton, they made their home on Elm Drive in Canton after all of their children graduated from high school …
