Higgins, Clare

Clare Higgins (Shillue), 93, of Canton, passed away at Milton Hospital on October 5.

Born in Boston, she was raised in Quincy, Dorchester and Hyde Park and graduated from Quincy High School. She was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving during World War II.

Clare worked as an executive secretary for Norfolk & Dedham Insurance for many years before retiring in 2000. She was a member of the Women’s Marine Corps Association and St. Gerard Majella Prayer Group …
