The Canton High School Alumni Association has recently presented CHS with a gift of $8,000 to be used for a variety of items to benefit CHS students. This gift will be used to provided for upgraded technology in the form of additional Chromebook technology, which will benefit all students, an additional iPad for a particular CHS department (to be named later), a large-screen state-of-the-art TV monitor for the foyer of CHS to inform students and the public with up-to-date information, much like the public monitor now in front of the Canton Public Library, and for additional glass showcases to display CHS trophies and CHS exhibits.

In addition, at the CHS Scholarship Night on Wednesday, May 27, the alumni association presented $1,000 scholarships each to two very deserving graduating seniors from the Class of 2015. The awards were given to Samantha Devane, who will be attending the College of the Holy Cross, and Grace Barrera, who will be attending the University of New Hampshire.

Congratulations to both of these scholarship winners, who were chosen for their outstanding academic achievements and extensive extracurricular activities at CHS and in the community. Both recipients deserve the accolade of a “job well done.”
