Twice already this season, Aufiero has been recognized as the NE-10 Player of the Week — the first time on November 25 and again on December 16. He is currently tied for first on the team with seven goals, including three game winners, and is second on the team with eight assists. He is Stonehill’s active leader in games played (93), goals (33), and points (74), and he is tied for first with 41 assists.
A 2010 graduate of Xaverian, Aufiero played ice hockey for the Hawks for three years, earning Catholic Conference All-Star honors as a senior. He went on to play for the Walpole Express of the Eastern Hockey League, winning the President’s Cup with the team in 2011.
