Hanson, Lowell

Lowell Hanson, 88, formerly of Sharon, of Milton, passed away at the Ellis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Norwood July 11.

Born and raised in Sharon, he graduated from Sharon High School and was an Army veteran of World War II. He worked as a mechanic at Taylor’s Garage in Sharon for many years. He enjoyed woodworking and especially liked building grandfather clocks for family members.

Beloved husband of Margery L. (Clark). Father of Carolyn Elterich and her husband, Steve, of Canton and Peter Hanson and his wife, Gail, of NH. Grandfather of Kristen Elterich of Charlestown, Nicole Elterich of South Boston, and Christopher Hanson of NH.

A funeral service was held Wednesday, July 16, at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street. Burial at Rock Ridge Cemetery, Sharon. Donations may be made in his memory to the Canton Veterans Service Department, 801 Washington St., Canton, MA 02021.
