Canton Deputy Police Chief Helena Findlen received the Irish American Police Officers Association Humanitarian Award at the 14th annual IAPOA awards dinner held in Quincy on Friday, April 5. Findlen was recognized for her extraordinary efforts on behalf of Cops for Kids with Cancer, a local nonprofit organization, as well as her work on many other charitable initiatives. A Canton native and the daughter of a former CPD detective, Findlen has served the department for 24 years. She is currently the president of Cops for Kids with Cancer.
