Pooches on Parade
By Canton CitizenNearly 100 dogs and hundreds more humans turned out for the second annual Canton Pooch Parade held last Saturday at the Paul Revere Heritage Site. All attendees were able to cast their vote for the title of “Top Dog,” which went to Mila Weingart, and several “Best Costume” prizes were awarded by a panel of judges that included Canton Animal Control Officer Stacey Benson, Sherry Alpert, a board member of the Revere & Son Heritage Trust, and Jody Garland, owner of Calling All Paws of Stoughton — one of this year’s sponsors along with Dunkin’ on Washington Street. Co-hosted by the Revere & Son Heritage Trust, Canton Lions Club, and Marilyn & Company Realty, the event also featured food trucks, lawn games, and a craft fair with dozens of vendors selling homemade crafts, art, and pet-related products.
