On behalf of a grateful nation

By

As part of a proud Veterans Day tradition, the Canton Veterans Services Department annually publishes a list of local veterans who have received funeral honors from the Canton Honor Guard — a final, formal tribute to their service and sacrifice.

Regrettably, this year’s list, which appeared in the November 7 edition of the Citizen, omitted a few names. Among them were:

Albert J. Brown, who served for many years in the Army National Guard

Leo A. Healy, a decorated World War II veteran of the U.S. Army’s 10th Mountain Division

Richard J. Flanagan, a U.S. Navy veteran and former American Legion Post #24 chaplain

Please notify us of any other omissions via email at submissions@thecantoncitizen.com or cmaddestra@town.canton.ma.us.
