Multiple point scorers for Canton included Matt Sidney, Tom Kerikas, Cam Huber, Mike Bronstein and Chris Boughter.

CHS boys’ head coach Chris Elgar said he was particularly impressed by Kerikas’ performance in the hurdles and 300, with big personal improvements from a year ago.  Elgar also noted that James Grella had a strong performance in the shot put. Girls’ team head coach Ben Mattson reported that Anna Amico was a double first-place winner in the 50 and 300 sprints. Other first-place finishers included Radiya Buchanan in the high jump and Chidimma Nwankwo in the shot put.

Second-place finishes were turned in by Mellyn Costello in the hurdles, Vicky Tondre in the 50, Stephanie Mui in the high jump, and Mairead Bagley in the mile. Costello also placed third in the 300.

Both teams may send representatives to the Boston Holiday Meet on Monday, December 27. The teams will next compete against Foxboro on Wednesday, December 29, at the Franklin Indoor Track Center, beginning at 9 a.m.
