Massasoit offering free bus service to Canton campus

By

Students at Massasoit Community College’s Canton campus who need transportation this fall will be able to utilize a newly established bus service.

massasoitMassasoit has contracted with Boston Coach to run free bus service to the Canton campus from six locations throughout Canton and the surrounding communities. The first bus run is at 7:15 a.m. and ends with a pickup from the campus at 1:50 p.m. Stops include the Canton Junction and Canton Center commuter rail stations as well as the Route 128 commuter rail station in Westwood.

The shuttle service was established this past spring as a pilot.

“We know that transportation can be an issue for our students, and currently there are no public transportation lines connecting with the Canton campus,” said Massasoit Canton Vice President Nick Palantzas. “This free bus service will enable prospective students to have easier access to the Canton campus in their pursuit of furthering their education. We anticipate an increased number of students accessing our Canton campus via this new opportunity.”
