CPL announces software upgrade, temp. closure
By Canton CitizenThe Canton Public Library will be closed from Monday, April 27, through Wednesday, April 29. During this closure, the library, in cooperation with the Old Colony Library Network (OCLN), will be migrating to a new software system and the CPL catalog and all OCLN services will be offline. The library will reopen and the new system will be back online on Thursday, April 30.
While the system is offline, patrons will not be able to search the library catalog, place new holds, renew items, or update their account. Downloaded content may be available, but access to Libby/Overdrive, Hoopla, and other electronic services will also not be available.
On Thursday, April 30, the new system will go live and the OCLN catalog will have a fresh, new look along with some new features. All checkouts and holds will be moved to the new system as well, and account PINs will be converted to a password with any letters converted to uppercase.
Please use uppercase letters when you log in to the new system. If you have forgotten your PIN/password, you will be able to change it by supplying your library card number or your email. If you need assistance logging in to the new system, Canton library staff will be happy to help.
The Canton Public Library hopes this transition to the new software will be seamless for both the staff and its patrons. Please email mamory@canton.ocln.org with any questions.
