Nicholson, Catherine E.

Catherine E. Nicholson, 92, of Canton, formerly of Dorchester, died peacefully surrounded by her family on July 21, 2025.

Catherine worked for Marshalls in Canton for over 15 years. She also previously worked at Regal Press in Norwood and Cumberland Farms in Canton. She was an active member of the Canton Senior Center.

She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Carmella Sturiano. Loving mother of Brian J. Nicholson and his wife, Sonia, of Halifax, Karon A. Walsh and her late husband, Mark, of Norwood, and the late John “Jake” Nicholson. Proud grandmother of Rachel, Kristen, Jillian, and Jacqueline Walsh. Proud great-grandmother of Aden St. Romain.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, July 30, at 10 a.m. in St. Oscar Romero Catholic Church, 700 Washington Street. Interment will be private.
