Cook, Marion G.
By Canton CitizenMarion G. Cook of Dorchester died peacefully April 29, 2025. She was 93 years old.
Marion was the daughter of the late George and Mary Cook (Kane). She worked as a medical secretary in the radiology department at the former Carney Hospital for many years and later worked as a cafeteria assistant for the Boston Public Schools.
She was the proud sister of the late George C. Cook, who served in the U.S. Navy. She is survived by her many nieces and nephews: Donna Brooks and her husband, Bill (NPD Ret.), of Westwood, Judy Goode and her husband, Jim, of VT, Lisa Printy and her husband, Jeff, of NY, Robert Corlito and his wife, Bonnie, of Mansfield, John Corlito of NC, Nancy Coyle of Boston, Claire McCurry and her husband, Don, of CA, and the late Michael Corlito. Marion was a dear friend to the McCarthy, Scanlan, and Pushard families, sharing many holidays together throughout her life.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Tuesday, May 6, in St. Oscar Romero Catholic Church in Canton. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. Arrangements by the Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman Street, www.roache-pushard.com.
