Widberg, Ruby M.
By Canton CitizenRuby M. Widberg (Johnson), 94, of Canton, passed away April 2 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born and raised in Canton, she was a lifelong resident of Canton. She graduated from Canton High School in 1934 and was a member of the field hockey team. She was a former member of the Canton Ladies Fire Department Auxiliary and the Early Bird Bowling League in Canton.
Beloved wife of the late Edward A. Mother of Edward E. and his wife, Louise, Arthur A. and his wife, Judith, and Allen R. and his wife, Linda, all of Canton, and Carl A. and Joanne of Hull. Sister of Andrew Johnson of Canton and the late Winifred Keddy and Gilbert W. Johnson. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends invited to attend a funeral service at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street, Thursday, April 5, at 10 a.m. Interment Canton Corner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Steward Hospice Care, 30 Perwal St., Westwood, MA 02090, or to Hessco Elder Services, 1 Merchant St., Sharon, MA 02067, or to the Canton EMT Association, 99 Revere St., Canton, MA 02021.
