The Canton Fire Department celebrated the promotions of eight officers — two deputy chiefs, three captains and three lieutenants — during a recent Select Board meeting.

“Each of these officers has worked very hard and shown tremendous dedication to the department and the community,” said Canton Fire Chief Jamie Meier. “I’m very proud to recognize their service and look forward to their continued contributions to public safety in the town of Canton.”

The following eight officers were joined by their families and many of their fellow Canton firefighters for a formal pinning ceremony on September 15:

* Deputy Chiefs Andy Morgan, a 33-year CFD veteran promoted in May 2025, and Frank Walsh, a 12-year veteran promoted this past July.

* Captains Anthony Flematti, a 10-year veteran promoted in May 2025, Sean Fallon, a 15-year veteran promoted in May 2026, and Ryan Patrician, a 14-year veteran promoted in July 2026.

* Lieutenants Michael Hache (13 yrs.), Justin Tilley (8 yrs.) and Daniel Pendergast (7 yrs.), all promoted in July 2026.
