Vote Clough for Select Board

Dear Editor:

Our local elections will be held on Tuesday, April 7. Most registered voters don’t vote in our town elections, but do in the November elections for state and federal contests. A strong argument can be made that local Canton elections affect us more directly every day than who is U.S. president or senator. The Canton Select Board is the most important board in town. There are four candidates on the ballot, and I ask you to consider David Clough for one of your two votes for Select Board.

My wife and I moved to Canton 43 years ago to raise a family. Both of our kids graduated from CHS. We’ve been involved politically with the town on various levels almost all this time, and we always vote. Dave and Ashley Clough moved into our neighborhood in 2015 to start a family. Their young children are now both in Canton schools. Dave got involved in town finances very quickly. He is a business owner and has studied in detail the state of Canton’s fiscal health. He has become an important guiding force on Canton’s Finance Committee.

The town is facing some tough economic decisions in the next few years, and Dave has the skills to help us through these times.

Please vote for David Clough for Select Board.
