Resca, Ann T.

Ann Terese Resca, a lifelong resident of Canton, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026, at South Shore Hospital.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Louis and Helen Resca. Ann was a graduate of Canton High School, Bridgewater State College, and Northeastern University, where she earned a master’s degree in mental health counselling. Ann taught elementary school in Norwood and Canton before working as a guidance counselor at King Philip Regional High School. Upon her retirement from King Philip, she provided private counseling.

Ann was an active member of Saint John the Evangelist Church in Canton, where she served on the parish council, taught CCD, was a Eucharistic minister, and initiated the parish grief ministry. She was also a member of the Saint Vincent de Paul Society of St. John’s parish.

Ann was predeceased by her sister Mary C. Studholme and her husband, Richard L., and her brother Louis R. Resca Jr. She is survived by her sister-in-law Frances Resca of Braintree, nine nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held Saturday at the Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman Street. Interment Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Canton. Donations may be made in Ann’s memory to a charity of your choice.
