Submitted by the campaign to elect Julie Beckham

Canton native Julie Beckham officially launched her campaign for Select Board last week at Brookmeadow Country Club, promising to unite residents with the town’s rich history and vital resources. Addressing an energized crowd of more than 80 supporters, Beckham outlined a vision focused on community culture and inclusive leadership.

“Everyone should feel connected to their community and that requires care, compassion, and a goal-oriented team approach,” Beckham said.

Citing the three core pillars of her campaign platform — People, Places & Progress — Beckham detailed how they will guide her decision-making as a Select Board member.

“I am committed to respecting and elevating the needs and contributions of residents of all ages — connecting the people and resources that make Canton great, and investing in smart, strategic growth that honors our town’s history, embraces opportunity, and allows people to thrive,” she said.

Beckham brings a unique blend of civic engagement and professional financial expertise to the race. A graduate of New York University, she has deeply embedded herself in Canton’s civic life, serving on committees including CAPT, CAPE, and the CHS School Council. Most recently, she served as vice chair of Canton’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee.

Professionally, Beckham is the AVP/financial education development and strategy officer at Rockland Trust, where she is known as “Ms. Money,” having visited hundreds of schools in the Greater Boston area, teaching financial education and money management best practices. She is an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC) and serves on the Money Management Advisory Committee for ETHOS. Additionally, Beckham recently concluded a term on the advisory board for the Citizens’ Housing & Planning Association (CHAPA) in Boston.
