Parks & Rec honors Holiday House Contest winners
By Canton CitizenThe Canton Parks & Recreation Department congratulates all of the winners of its annual Holiday House Decorating Contest and would like to thank all of those who participated this year and helped make the Canton community sparkle.
With music playing, costumes on, and “amazing decorations,” the residents of 11 Jeffrey Road were named this year’s overall winner. Also recognized were homes at 94 Rockland Street, which won Most Creative; 21 Birchcroft Road, which earned the award for Best Traditional display; 398 York Street, which was recognized for Best Theme; and 10 Old Shepard Street, which was honored for having the Most Lights. Additionally, 11 Jeffrey Road was recognized for having the Best Costumes.
As sponsors of the annual contest, Canton Parks & Recreation distributed a map so residents could drive around town and check out all of this year’s contestants. Also participating were homes on Charles Drive, High Street, Lehan Street, Luce Circle, Mechanic Street, Pear Tree Drive, Ponkapoag Way, Reynolds Street, Stonewood Drive, Wayside Lane, and Wentworth Road.
