Santa & Friends comes to BrightView Canton
By Canton CitizenBrightView Canton, a resort-style senior living community located on Turnpike Street, will sparkle with laughter, music, and holiday cheer when Boston’s Musical Ventriloquist Kevin Driscoll arrives for a joyful breakfast with Santa and Friends on Saturday, December 20, from 9-11 a.m.
This event is being offered as an extension of BrightView Canton’s commitment to elevating human connection and keeping seniors connected to who and what matters most in their lives. “Our residents grew up watching ventriloquists on television, but because of dementia, they may not remember,” said Ronnie Moura, director of Wellspring Village at BrightView Canton. “By helping them recall these cherished memories, we are keeping them connected to an important period in their lives and helping to improve their overall memory.”
According to Driscoll, “Seniors remember our Charlie McCarthy replica puppet from the black-and-white Ed Sullivan TV show in the 1960s … and sometimes they even shout out his name when I bring him out of the suitcase.”
“We are dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to those in need,” noted McKenzie Hagney, hospice liaison for Hands and Hearts Hospice. “Our goal is to enhance the lives of our patients and their families by providing comfort, support, and dignity. We are proud to sponsor this heartwarming, family-friendly celebration with entertainment for all ages — blending music, comedy, and inclusive holiday fun.”
Joining Santa are the wonderfully whimsical members of Santa and Friends, including Elf-on-the-Shelf, Willie the Red-Nosed Whiteboard, Kwanzaa Kevin, Hanukkah Howie, Solstice Suzy, and Winter Wonderland Wendy — a festive ensemble that celebrates the many traditions of the winter season.
Adding to the excitement is the always-popular Doug the Talking Dog, who helps distribute the tambourines, maracas, and drumsticks to every child who volunteers to join him on stage for an unforgettable musical moment.
Free family photos will be available with Santa and Friends — or any puppet of your choice — using your own camera or smartphone, making this a perfect keepsake event just days before the holiday.
Reservations are required by calling Mckenzie Hagney at 617-675-1900.
Come share breakfast, laughter, and music — and make magical memories with Santa and Friends at BrightView Canton.
