Canton Garden Club ushers in the holiday spirit
By Canton CitizenWhile the family is home for the holiday, join in the fun at the Canton Garden Club’s annual Decorate a Wreath event held at the Canton Senior Center on Saturday, December 6, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It’s a wonderful way to kick off the season and support the civic activities of the club.

Lindsey Cheney enjoyed helping her sons Henery and Holden and husband David Meredith make a festive wreath for their home.
Canton families have made this a must-attend holiday tradition with a creative and fun activity that produces a beautiful and sometimes very creative wreath that goes home to adorn the front door. It is a fun, intergenerational event and a terrific activity for a ladies’ outing. Make a wreath and then off to lunch perhaps?
The club provides one 12-inch pine wreath, festive ribbon options, pinecones, and all the ornaments needed to create a beautiful wreath for your home. This year, the club is introducing a new option — a hands-on workshop on how to make a boxwood tree. The workshop includes all the materials needed to create and decorate a festive holiday tree for your home or as a gift for someone special.
The fee for either activity is $50. Reserve your spot in advance to ensure the inventory needed to create your masterpiece is available by calling or texting Joan Marie at 508-801-6870. Payment can be made via Venmo @cantongardenclub or by check made payable to Canton Garden Club and mailed to PO Box 129, Canton, MA 02021 no later than November 28.
All funds raised at Garden Club events are used for the civic beautification of Canton and to help support the annual scholarships presented to a local graduating senior(s) who shares the common interests and mission of our club.
The Canton Garden Club, founded in 1930, is one of the longest continually running civic organizations in town. Membership is open to all, from novice to master gardener. New member applications are accepted throughout the year.
