Standing with our immigrant neighbors
By Canton CitizenDear Editor:
Our immigrant neighbors are an essential part of Canton’s vibrant community. They work hard, raise families, attend our schools and churches, and contribute to the heart and strength of our town. Yet many now face the devastating reality of losing their Temporary Protected Status (TPS) — and with it, the stability and safety they have built here in the United States.
This moment calls for compassion, unity, and action.
We are reaching out to community members, faith groups, legal professionals, and friends across Canton to come together in support of our immigrant neighbors. By standing united, we can share resources, raise awareness, and advocate for fair and humane solutions that protect families and preserve the values our town holds dear.
Canton has always been a community that believes in fairness, dignity, and hope. Let’s continue to live up to those values by standing beside those who need our support most.
If you or your organization would like to get involved or learn more, please contact me at billdwolfson@gmail.com (include your name and email/phone number).
Together, we can make a meaningful difference right here in Canton.
Sincerely,
Bill Wolfson
