The Canton Cultural Council, a participating member of the Massachusetts Cultural Council, is pleased to announce the upcoming 2025-26 grant cycle. This is an opportunity for artists, musicians, and educators to share their talents with the Canton community.
According to the Mass. Cultural Council, there is no community without culture: it defines our understanding of the world, provides us with a shared language, and creates meaningful connections between people, places, and institutions. Culture enriches the quality of life and well-being of individuals and families across the commonwealth.
That is why the town of Canton supports its Local/Canton Cultural Council, festival organizers, artists and nonprofit cultural organizations to deliver powerful experiences. These entities from Massachusetts, and Canton in particular, are at the heart of our rich cultural life. Using form, sound, color, language, and movement, they help us interpret our past, understand the present, and envision a better future.
Last year, the Canton Cultural Council awarded 25 grants to support a variety of diverse programs, including the Canton Farmers Market, the Canton GreenFest, Canton Public Schools’ Visual Arts Department, and programs ranging from Shakespeare in the Park and Beginner Technology Classes to musical ensembles and art projects. A full listing of all the grants awarded can be found on the Canton Cultural Council page on the MCC website at massculturalcouncil.org/local-council/canton.
Online applications open on Tuesday, September 2, and continue through Thursday, October 16. To learn more about the application process, please visit massculturalcouncil.org/communities/local-cultural-council-program/application-process.
