Shakespeare in the Park
By Canton CitizenThe drama and intrigue of Richard III came to life at the Paul Revere Heritage Site last weekend as the Gazebo Players of Medfield presented “Shakespeare in the Park” — a two-night, free production performed outdoors on the public green. Over 100 guests came out on Saturday, and another 50-plus attended Sunday despite an uncertain forecast, to experience Director Benjamin Medeiros’ modern re-telling of the classic Shakespearean tragedy set in London’s punk era. Made possible by grants from several local cultural councils, the performances were part of an outdoor summer series that wraps up this weekend (Aug. 2-3) at Bird Park in Walpole.
