Nashawaty, George K.
By Canton CitizenGeorge Khalil Nashawaty, 76, of Brockton, formerly of Canton, passed away peacefully among family on April 26, 2025.
George could fix anything, was incredibly knowledgeable, and had a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed loud ‘Oldies’ music, working on cars, and was very fond of animals. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the 192nd Assault Helicopter Company (AHC).
Beloved son of the late Khalil and Anna Nashawaty. Former husband of Eleanor Duffek. Proud father of Christopher G. Nashawaty and his wife, Viyaleta Nashawaty, of Boca Raton, FL, and the late Felix Nashawaty. Loving brother of Patricia Hanson of Canton, Fred Nashawaty of NH, Charles Nashawaty of Mansfield, and the late David Nashawaty. Proud grandfather of Liliana Nashawaty and Adriana Nashawaty. He also leaves behind his beloved cat Casey and K9 companions Max and Opie.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 3, from 12 to 1 p.m. at the American Legion Hall followed by a celebration of life until 4 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. The Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman Street, is assisting the family with arrangements.
