A&B suspect facing added charges for conduct while in custody

A Quincy woman who was arrested following a domestic dispute on Stagecoach Road last weekend is facing additional charges stemming from her actions while in holding at the Canton Police Station. Courteau, continuously shouted racial remarks while in custody at the police station and made several death threats against one officer. She also clogged the toilet and flooded her holding cell, leading to an additional charge for malicious destruction of property. She was also charged with three counts of civil rights violations and three counts of threatening to commit a crime, as well as intimidation of a witness, juror, police or court officer; assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, A&B on a family or household member; and A&B on a person over 60/disabled with injury.

According to Deputy Police Chief Patty Sherrill, the victim, who was knocked to the ground in the hallway of the hotel and kicked in the face and torso, knew both assailants but was uncooperative with police and would not say what precipitated the dispute. The suspects, Yadilka Blackman, 24, of Stoughton and Khadijah Elaine Scott, 24, of Needham, were both arrested and charged with assault and battery and A&B with a dangerous weapon. Sherrill said the victim was transported to the hospital.
