Town election candidate forums set for March 14 & 19

By

The public is invited to two upcoming town election candidate forums at the Canton Public Library presented by the Canton Voter Guide team in partnership with the Canton Lions Club.

The first forum will take place on Thursday, March 14, and will feature candidates for Library Board of Trustees (6:30 p.m.) and Select Board (7:30 p.m.) with Cindy Thomas serving as the moderator. For the second forum, scheduled for Tuesday, March 19, Mark Porter will moderate a discussion with candidates for Board of Assessors (6:30 p.m.), Planning Board (7:15 p.m.), and School Committee (8 p.m.). Both forums will be recorded and re-aired on Canton Community Television.

The goal of both forums is to present an opportunity for each candidate to introduce themselves to community members and speak regarding their qualifications.

The public is invited to attend but no signs or campaign materials will be allowed, and all audience members are expected to be respectful at all times. All times listed above are approximate, and while there will be no questions taken from the audience, members of the public may submit questions in advance.
