Stone, Ethel M.

By

Ethel May Stone, 80, of North Attleboro, passed away on November 18, 2023, surrounded by loved ones after a prolonged illness.

Ethel was born on January 15, 1943, to Etta May Farnsworth and Howard Alfred Jacques in North Attleboro. After high school, Ethel became an administrative assistant, and then a jewelry maker at local jewelry manufacturers.

On July 12, 1981, Ethel married the love of her life, Martin Allan Stone, in Attleboro. The two spent their time together traveling, taking day trips, and frequenting their favorite restaurants and shops.

Ethel was a caring and generous auntie and friend who adored lighthouses and enjoyed spending Monday nights “howling” at WWE Raw. She maintained her humor, quick wit, caring nature, trademark stubbornness, and love for the color pink into her last days. From getting excited about trips to the Christmas Tree Shops or the Wrentham Outlets in her car (also known as her ‘baby’), to going out for fish and chips or eating food prepared by “Chef Pam,” to throwing impromptu birthday parties or simply telling stories about her younger days, Ethel found joy in spending time with the chosen family that she leaves behind. Her quirky nature will never be forgotten by those who were lucky enough to know her, and her spirit will live on wherever there is laughter. Ethel will always have a special place in the hearts of those who loved her, and she will be missed dearly.

Ethel was predeceased by her parents, Etta May Farnsworth and Howard Alfred Jacques, and by her husband, Martin Stone. She is survived by her extended family and friends, Pamela and Victor Bonilla, Pamela Gualtieri, Lisa and Derrick Alford, Andrea and Phillip Stocksdale, Michael and Traci Gualtieri, Aaron Rampello and Gina Napolitano.

Ethel will be buried at Sharon Memorial Park in Sharon. A private service will be held. Donations can be made in Ethel’s honor to the Ronald McDonald House Charities, an organization Ethel felt strongly about. Arrangements by the Pushard Funeral Home, 210 Sherman Street, www.roache-pushard.com.
