Excitement is building for the Canton Fall Classic Road Race, which returns for a 34th running on Sunday, October 29.

Hosted by B’nai Tikvah in Canton, the event will feature several distances, including a 10K and 5K starting at 10 a.m., a one-mile fun run starting at 9:45 a.m., and a one-mile senior walk beginning at 9 a.m. More than 500 runners have participated in past years.

The morning will feature a DJ, local sponsors, and fun pre-run warmup activities.

The Canton Fall Classic benefits B’nai Tikvah and the Canton Food Panty. This year, some of the proceeds will also benefit the National Scleroderma Foundation to support one of our beloved teachers. Race organizers are grateful for all of the corporate sponsors whose continued support and generosity contribute to the event’s 34-year history.

The Fall Classic has been hailed as one of the premier races on the south shore because of the organization, the course, and attention to detail. It has been included in many local grand prix series (which award points to runners for their attendance at specific regional races). Runners like local legend Stephen Warren have recognized it as a “great course, well organized and run by great people.”
