The Day Judy Started a Food Fight
By Natalie Palid

Once there was a little girl named Judy. She loved to eat. One day, she decided to start a food fight in the cafeteria. It was not just any food fight. It was a dodgeball food fight. If you got hit by food, you were out! Meatballs landed in people’s hair, green beans flew into people’s eyes, and tomatoes splattered on people’s mouths. Everything was everywhere!

When the principal heard about this, he immediately dashed to the cafeteria. Everybody froze and stared in shock as the principal started to join in!

He was the best with the lasagnas. He didn’t just pick up the noodles. He threw the whole plate! He spun, dodged, and threw until Judy was the only kid left. It came down to Judy and the principal. Finally, the principal threw his last egg and it almost hit the President, who was visiting their school on a tour!

Everyone was silent. Judy tossed a tomato at the President, but the President grabbed it in the air with his hand. The President shouted, “Yes!” Judy couldn’t believe that she was out.

It was just the President and the principal left in the game. The principal yelled, “I’m going to get you out!” And then the President threw an egg at the principal who tried to catch it, but got hit. The egg cracked in half on his shirt. It was all gooey!

The principal said, “Good game!” and the President said, “From now on, every year there will be a food fight on this day in the cafeteria!” And everyone lived happily ever after.
