Class of 2023 graduates from Blue Hills Regional

Superintendent-Director Jill Rossetti would like to congratulate the Class of 2023 upon their graduation from Blue Hills Regional Technical School in Canton last week.

The ceremony was held on Tuesday evening, June 6, on the school’s athletic field in front of friends, family, school administrators, and special guests.

The ceremony began with the Pledge of Allegiance led by Class of 2023 Vice President Chloe Condlin of Randolph and a welcome address given by District School Committee Chair Eric Erskine of Braintree.

Valedictorian Jake Reissfelder of Dedham gave an uplifting address in which he reminded his classmates that they have the “power to do anything … in this game of life” before Class Secretary Oliva Rynne of Braintree presented the class gift. A farewell address was given by Class President Christian Dedier of Milton, who encouraged his classmates to “hold on to the spirit of perseverance that has brought you here” before diplomas were presented to the graduates.

Rossetti and Principal Geoffrey Zini then gave the closing remarks.

Members of the recessional included Dean of Students Thomas Cavanaugh, Academic Director Paul Bavuso, Director of Vocational Programs Michelle Sylvia, Director of Special Services Angelo Dimitriou. and Cooperative Education Coordinator Kimberly Poliseno. Also in attendance were state Senator Walter Timilty and District School Committee members Kevin Connolly, Taryn Mohan, Tom Polito, and Sheila Vazquez.

“On behalf of the school, I would like to congratulate all of our seniors on their accomplishments throughout their time at Blue Hills and wish them well as they leave our school to embark on their future journeys,” said Superintendent Rossetti. “Each student throughout their time at Blue Hills has been taught the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in their futures, and we look forward to watching as these students grow into adults.”

Among the graduates receiving their diplomas from the 205-member class were Canton residents Marcus Bain, Maria Byrd, Jack Canavan, Gema Chireno, Patrick Crowley, Rhys Draper, Shane Draper, Ava Feeley, James Fitch, Ciara Gabriel, Xavier Heath-Mosley, Brian Mahon, Paul McCann, Riley Moriarty, Brendon Mullin, Ashton Papalcure, Sarah Ryan, Jameson Seaver, Johnathon Shine and Maksimos Zotaj.
