For the first time ever, Canton Little League entered a 10U softball all-star team into the Little League World Series Softball Tournament, and the Canton girls took full advantage of the opportunity —  advancing all the way to the state title game last weekend in Agawam. Trailing 9-1 in the fourth inning, the Canton team crawled back to tie the game at 10-10 in the bottom of the last inning before losing a heartbreaker in extra innings.

This year’s state finalist team was coached by Pat Murphy, Tony Chiulli and Rob Giglio and included players Abby Gallagher, Abby Pepe, Alayna Ryan, Austyn Wood, Brooke Conner, Brynn Murphy, Elise Rogers, Faith Giglio, Guiliana Lombardi, Haley Quersher, Lauren Chiulli, Lola Mohondro, Scarlet Penders and Stella Dilorenzo. Congratulations to all of the girls on an outstanding summer season.
