Megalaitis, Stacey R.

Stacey Robin Megalaitis (Burak), 52, of Merrimack, New Hampshire, entered into eternal rest on June 26 at home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous six-year battle with adenoid cystic carcinoma.

She leaves behind a legacy of an indomitable spirit, positive outlook and complete, selfless love. Embracing life to the fullest, Stacey saw the beauty in each day. Despite the challenges of her illness, she faced each moment with humor, enthusiasm and energy.

Born in Boston and raised in Canton, Stacey was a graduate of Canton High and Southern New Hampshire University. She enjoyed a career in marketing at Cabletron, Reebok and Bittware; but her most beloved role was that of wife and mother. Stacey and the love of her life, her husband, Mark, married in 1995 and settled in Merrimack, NH, where they raised their three amazing children. Some of Stacey’s favorite times were spent on family road trips and vacations at Disney World.

Stacey volunteered for many organizations, including Merrimack Friends and Family, the Merrimack Cardinals sports team, and the local school district. Through her kindness and generosity, she forged many lasting friendships.

Stacey was the cherished wife of 27 years to Mark Megalaitis and the devoted mother to Austin, Logan and Alyssa. Daughter of Harriet Burak and the late Al Burak and daughter-in-law of Auguste Megalaitis and the late Heinz Megalaitis. Beloved sister of Michelle Langmead and her husband, Andrew. Predeceased by her brother, Michael. Sister-in-law of Nancy and John Doyle and Kim and Karl Megalaitis. Aunt to three nieces and three nephews. Stacey leaves countless friends and relatives.
