Kenneth John Quill, 83, died peacefully, surrounded by his family, May 10, 2022, in Naples, Florida.

Ken was a proud resident of South Boston where he attended Gate of Heaven Catholic School. He worked as a sales/branch manager at A.B. Dick Company in Waltham, a major American copier manufacturer and office supply company of the 20th century, and was the co-owner of Automated Business Products of Worcester before retiring in 1997 to Naples. Kenneth enjoyed sailing around Boston Harbor and the Cape and Islands and enjoyed numerous trips with his wife to places like Aruba, Russia, Alaska, Ireland, China, Japan, and Thailand. He also enjoyed Boston Symphony Orchestra concerts and attending Boston sports games.

After retirement Ken went on several adventurous trips. He took a three-week trek up the Himalayan Mountains to Mount Everest Base Camp. He went hiking in the Swiss and Italian Alps with his daughters on separate trips and enjoyed skiing the Canadian Rockies with his son. He took a bike trek down the Rhine River in Austria at the conclusion of the trip; he attended the Vienna Boys Choir concert, and participated in an archeological dig at Hadrian’s Wall in Northern England.

Beloved son of the late Dorothy M. (Abbott) and James C. Quill of Canton. Devoted husband for over 58 years of M. Jean (Doone) Quill of Blacks Harbour, New Brunswick, Canada. Loving father of Elizabeth Quill and her husband, Kevin O’Neill, of Quincy, Alison Quill of Boston, and Sean Quill of Jupiter, FL. Loving step-grandfather of Tess and Aubrie O’Neill. Loving brother of Eleanor Lenox of Englewood, FL, Edward Quill of Pembroke, Virginia Smith of Bradenton, FL, and the late James Quill of Canton, Dorothy Morrison of Canton, and Marguerite Bosman of Fort Myers, FL. He is also survived by many cousins, nephews and nieces throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Visiting hours at the Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman Street, Thursday (today) from 4-7 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, May 20, at 10 a.m. in St. Oscar Romero Catholic Church in Canton. Interment Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Canton. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org or Avow Hospice at avowcares.org/donate-now.
