Kincade, John M.

John M. “Mickey” Kincade of Canton passed away peacefully April 19 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital.

Born and raised in Canton, he graduated from Canton High School and was a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving during the Korean War. John worked for many years as a custodian and a bus driver for the Canton High School athletic teams before retiring.

Beloved husband of Judith A. (Leary). Father of Christine Barry of South Attleboro, Stephen Kincade of Walpole, Anne DeBona of Newtown, CT, Alicia Paquette of Stoughton, and the late Robert J. “Bob” Kincade. Son of the late Elizabeth and Robert Kincade. Brother of the late Mary Elise Forbes, and Mark and David Kincade. Also survived by eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends invited to attend a graveside service at the VA National Cemetery in Bourne April 28 (today) at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Operation Flags for Vets, a project of the SFC Jared C. Monti Charitable Foundation (sfcjaredcmonti.org/donations), or to the Wounded Warrior Foundation at woundedwarriorproject.org.
