Heartfelt gratitude from family of Tony Andreotti

By

To Friends of Tony Andreotti:

On behalf of our family, I would like to acknowledge all of you that paid a proper tribute and respects to my Dad. We were overwhelmed by your support and heartfelt condolences during this most difficult time.

There are many people and groups to thank and I’ll probably miss a few, but please know that it meant so much to us over the last few weeks.

First, I heard so many stories and comments from so many people about what he did for others. I want to make sure that those of you who were touched by him know that you also helped him. The role (it wasn’t a job for him) gave him a renewed sense of purpose when he needed it most. We truly believe that the veterans agent position helped him live a long, purposeful life. It truly was a two-way street.

The contributions and assistance by some of the townspeople and organizations, those who assisted in and provided arrangements/services, those who helped provide a voice for him, care providers, donators, Fire, Police and other town departments, the students, the Veterans Department and agent, and especially the Honor Guard was truly overwhelming. Dad was proud to be a part of the Canton community for most all his life.

To the many volunteers that assisted him and his efforts over the years, we appreciate you very much.

Personally, thank you to his friends and family — particularly those who were there near the end when it really mattered. We can’t thank you enough.

We wish you all the best,

Dave Andreotti
