What are Canton’s housing needs?

By

Dear Editor:

Last May, town meeting voters approved the establishment of a Housing Trust to create and preserve Canton’s affordable housing, a big and complicated issue decades in the making, but we have to begin somewhere. The Select Board has appointed its trustees and work has begun in earnest to understand the community’s current and projected needs, as well as possible strategies to address those needs aligned with the character and values of our community.

We need your feedback on this issue. Please take 10 minutes to complete an anonymous survey at surveymonkey.com/r/cantonHPP.

Recently about 850 people completed a survey about how to spend CPA dollars. The input was invaluable and will be analyzed and reflected in next year’s Community Preservation Plan. We’re confident there are at least as many people who have something to say about housing in Canton!

Thanks for your help.
